Carpenter - Sea To Sky cd/lp

Why haven't I heard from this band before? Which orgcore fanatic doesn't want other people to get into this Canadian four piece?

Carpenter is one of the many bands out there with members who've played in punk and hardcore bands before and who want to do something different. This usually ends up in either slow, boring shoegazing type of stuff or weird, out of this planet type of crap.

Carpenter stays away from all that and brings a record that's a melting pot of Bruce Springsteen, John Mellencamp and later Bouncing Souls and The Loved Ones with just a flavour of Texas Is The Reason.

Sounds good?

Well it is good. This is the kind of record every punk and hardcore kid in his thirties and with a side love for Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash and Bruce Springsteen will like.

'Sea To Sky' is a record for late nights, book reading and relaxing when you don't have to go to another show or the kids are finally in bed. This one will be definately be in my top 10 records of 2011.
