Mouthpiece - Can't Kill What's Inside
Finally the Mouthpiece discography has seen the light, and it's final resting place is Revelation Records.
If you're into youth crew/straight edge hardcore Mouthpiece definitely is one of the bands you should check out. They kept the flame burning when big shots Youth Of Today and Bold threw in their towels. In fact they were one of the few bands playing this sound when everyone went metal.
Still I have mixed feelings about this release. One the one hand the booklet looks amazing, and the songs are awesome. But that's the negative aspect of it as well. If you're into the band you probably already have most if not all of these songs. The three previously unreleased bonus tracks don't add much to that catalog as they are livesongs. The sound quality isn't all that and the third song is an instrumental outro entitled 'Massive Outro'.
I would have like to see more information in the booklet as well. Maybe liner notes on the songs or short interviews with the members. I mean a full list of all Mouthpiece shows is nice and all but they never played in Europe. And I don't want to be remembered about that.
