Hi there readers. I would like to apologize for my lack of posts lately. After my vacation things got pretty hectic at work. One of the other editors is leaving as of now, so I had to cover way more news. Besides that we had to finish the first issue within a week, and I have been trying hard to help get the new website of the magazine online.
But the real reason is I guess Redemption Song: the autobiography of Joe Strummer, what a great insightful book that is. Just awesome.
In other news I went to see Municipal Waste in Tilburg and ran into oldtime friend Sjarm 13 who was spending some time in the country, I also interviewed him for Upmagazine, I might translate it and post it here as well within a few weeks.
Surprise act at the show however was Common Cause. Damn they rock! I've also finally picked up the True Colors full length which is way better than Justice ever was.
In other sad news:
We quit
After two e.p.’s and a full length. We’ve said it all. Because of work, family and friendship we’re not able to give the band the attention it deserves. Therefore as of now Heartfelt is no more. There will be no final shows, no final show dvds and no reunions (that’s a promise).
We like to thank Gert-Jan en Fieke for turning Shield Recordings into one of the best European labels, Patrick Delabie who made recording a pleasure, all the people who booked us a show or came to see us play.
Frankie will continue with Cracks In The Wall and I will be back someday with a new band as well. Bye for now and see you later,
Rold/Heartfelt
The bad thing about that one is that we were asked to play a show with the Gorilla Biscuits in our own town, but due to misunderstandings things got out of control and it will never happen. Till soon, I promise now I'm gonna listen to the new MLIW again.

I was planning on seeing Municipal Waste at the end of this month, but putting the new addition on the house has drained the bank account, so I'm going to have to skip it. I know that years from now I'll regret it.
Sorry to hear about Heartfelt. R.I.P.
I kind if know what you mean, this year we had to redo a part of our roof, which cost a lot, so I have to be picky with spending money as well.
Municipal Waste is a good live band and I think you'll be able to see them some other day
Bummer about Heartfelt. I was actually really starting to get into Take It Or Leave, i really like the guitar and i'm starting to get a feel for the record. I'm still planning on doing a review for it.. sometime.
Too bad, you guys were pretty good!
