Away from the PC

With the last week at work being pretty hectic, I've spend the first three weeks of my holiday as much away from the computer as possible. Instead I've been listening to a lot of great new records from Against Me, Bad Religion, Editors and Interpol as well as totally hooked on the new 108 record.

I also have spend a lot of time with Philomeen and Jelle and finally managed to take some books of my to read list.
So far I have read
Black Swan Green by David Mitchell
A Spot Of Bother by Mark Haddon
What Is The What by Dave Eggers
Mohammed Maguire and Shooting Sean by Colin Bateman
Tortilla Border by TC Boyle
and some thrillers by Harlan Coben

Right now I'm reading Jennifer Government by Max Barry which is a great satire on the whole 'No Logo/Globalisation' issue.

I would really like to read Jennifer Government, the last book you mentioned. Also, what is the best book you've read out of the ones you finished? Tell me and i'll pick it up.

I'm going book shopping with some money i got for my birthday and i've got 3 or 4 im getting for sure but i would like a couple
more.

That's great your getting to spend time with your family and relax, everyone needs that once in a while.

Well Tyler What Is The What is a really good book about a young Sudanese boy who has to leave his country because of the civil war, it's gives a good idea of that journey, life in refugee camps and how hard it is to start a new life in America.

The Tortilla Borders by TC Boyle kind of deals with the same issue, this book is a modern day version of the Grapes of Wrath and is about a young mexican couple trying to make ends meet in Los Angeles.
