As Mike said in one of his most recent posts, it must be pre-order season. Yesterday two awesome packages arrived at my place
I wasn't into this prior to 'Promises Kept' but that record is great. When I read you could pre-order the last show on vinyl I did it straightaway and I'm glad I did. The sound of the last show is great and Jim has some good things to say in between songs. The DVD is great as well, you see the emotion on the bandmembers faces when they realise it's their last show. There's even a shot when you see Jim choking up during a song. After watching this show I realise the old Champion songs aren't that bad as I always thought or they play them better now. A great release of a great positive band.
To be honest, I have this one for quite some weeks already. Dutch Nothing Dones' second full length is way better than the first one. There's more of a punkvibe now and less trash. This one is sold out, but should still be available form some distros.
Although I'm not into Terror, Blacklisted and Rise And Fall this record is one I didn't want to miss out on. 2LP containing livesongs of the aforementioned bands as well as No Turning Back, Omission and Modern Life Is War as well as a livedvd with the same bands, coming in an awesome sleeve! What more can you expect. This once again shows that Reflections is one of the best labels around and it proves me that Terror isn't all that boring. (When it's only three songs) I've got the sold out, limited to 100 mail order version.

I have the Champion and Nothing Done vinyl sitting next to me right now. I'll be adding them to the blog soon! I agree with you...the old songs aren't as bad as I once thought (not that I thought they were bad). I even pulled out the old Champion CDs after watching the DVD, and there are some bright moments there that I never really picked up on.
Man i need that Nothing Done LP.
A new punk/hardcore record store opened up in town, i found the new Common Cause EP so i was hoping to find Nothing Done's latest.
No luck, but the dude seems to have a good variety of stuff so hopefully he'll get it in sooner rather than later.
Because of the DVD I actually think I will purchase the earlier records someday.
