No one's listening (part 1)

Some records I've been listening to a lot:
Alkaline Trio - Remains, a great collection of all their singles, splits and compilation tracks. I find this record just as good as the Trios two latest studio albums. The covers of Berlin, The Damned and Hot Water Music are a nice addition as well as the bonus DVD.

Comeback Kid - Broadcasting, 'Wake The Dead' was boring and I never got the whole hype. Still Broadcasting has a fast Snapcase feel to it and keeps getting better everytime I listen to it. Changing singers was a good decision for this band as well as not doing another melodic hardcore album.

The Damned - Live Bootleg, has two shows from the first line-up and includes classics like New Rose and Problem Child. Damn how I wish I was born late 70's England and able to see bands like The Damned, The Clash and The Ruts live.

Tenement Kids - Doves, the Dutch answer to the break-up of Hot Water Music. Awesome punkrock with in an even more awesome packaging.

I wasn't impressed with Broadcasting upon first listen. I know i won't like it as much as Turn It Around. That's probably why i keep hesitating giving this record a chance.

It's no Turn It Around or Wake The Dead that's for sure. Broadcasting takes a bit longer to sink in. But when it does, I found it the best CBK material to date.

I'm seeing them play their record release show here in Toronto on the 8th. So it will be interesting to see the new songs performed live. If i like what i hear live i'll probably give it more of a chance.

haha exactly Kate that's what I thought as well. Though Wake the Dead is a good song I never understood why CBK had to repeat it over and over.
