It's kind of funny to read that the main character/writer idolates bands like Earth Crisis and Strife. This sets the story in a certain time, nowadays the same kind of guy would totally be into Modern Life Is War and Rise and Fall I guess.
Evasion really gets you in the beginning when the writer explains all his schemes, goes to a metalfestival and tells about the loves in his life. By the time you've reached the third chapter, you kind of now how the writer makes money, what he thinks of people who work 9-5 and just what he eats from dumpsters.
Still this book is nothing like you will read from 'famous' authors or well known publishers. In a way this book is as much part of our scene as messageboards, colored vinyl and hypebands. In fact I hope the story of Evasion is more than just a part.
Oh, I got mine copy from the fine folks at Typewriter distro
