From 1976 till 1986 the comic Charley's War was published in the British magazine Battle Pictures Weekly. Now the first two volumes of Charley's War are published as hardcover books making this anti-war story accesible for a whole new generation.I guess what the novel 'All quiet on the western front' by Erich Maria Remaque is for books, Charley's War is for comics. Just as good, just as impressive.
Charley's War focuses on young Charley who get enlisted in the British Army and fights in the trenches in France and Belgium.
